Candy is Dandy

4 Mar

So my new found love this Easter season is Cadbury’s mini eggs.  I’ve never had them before and they are so good and so very pretty.  Somehow chocolate doesn’t feel so sinful when it’s covered in a crispy pink shell!  So with all that pastel chocolatey goodness, how could I help but make my piece for the 1st Annual Softie Easter Parade an homage to these sweet treats.

Candy is created from two shades of Sassy long pile – lovely smokey pink and my favourite pale frosted pink – the backing is pink with white pile creating the loveliest soft marshmallowy fabric.  I wanted to emphasize the sweetness of this bear so her nose and claws are detailed in pink cotton floss.  Candy measures about 1.75″ tall and will be available from my website very shortly.

I’m enjoying all the wonderful creations on the flickr group for the parade.  Hopefully I managed to upload my photograph correctly!  Make sure to check back on Lisa’s Q.D. Patooties blog daily from the 16th March for each installment of the Parade.
